Yeah. Traditional Copilot is built to be able to work with your Microsoft applications and really work kind of in line with you on your productivity tools or your business applications. Copilot Studio enables you to broaden that into other applications and other datasets, for you to build really copilots that are specific for a certain purpose. So if you need an accountant copilot or if you need a, like, a lawyer copilot or a mathematician copilot, you're really able to build those specifically for what your requirements are. So you have this ability now with Copilot Studio to take certain datasets and then give it certain, features and customize the specific Copilot that you're looking for. And this is all now really available, at your fingertips with the Copilot Studio tool. I would recommend trying to build out your first Copilot. So going to, the Copilot Studio application itself, and trying to create actually, the the first virtual agent. So this will get you used to how to add in the certain topics that you're gonna be working with, how to understand context of questions, how to understand the datasets that are required, and then go ahead and try to use it within your team. You know, give them access to the tool, have them start asking questions, and you're gonna see firsthand really the types of interactions that, your team is looking for. And then you can tweak and change the behavior of the Copilot depending on what your team is ultimately looking for. So I'd say the best way to get started is honestly just to get started. Yeah. So, actually, within Copilot, this is a a huge factor that there is this enterprise grade data protection that is ongoing with all of your data that's secured within the Microsoft Graph and any sort of interaction that you have with Microsoft Copilot. So you know that any sort of answer that you're providing or additional context is not going and becoming publicly accessible by the, you know, residents of the Internet. And so you're able to ensure that that's kept secure, under guard. It's really all backed by Microsoft's compliance and security. Yeah. You see Copilot Studio formerly was, Microsoft Virtual Agent, being used in a number of use cases. The first one that you see the most is online on the website. You're gonna actually have a a chatbot interface that your customers or potential customers are are able to interact with to understand, you know, general information about your organization or maybe the availability of products if you're working in kind of a b to c or b to b capacity. So that's a huge use case is having an online chatbot, that can really facilitate this sort of customer service interaction. But that's really just step one. There's so many other use cases, with Copilot Studio of building these Copilots that achieve certain tasks, whether that's, you know, achieving your, your legal request and asking it, you know, how should I interact on this certain contract, Or, you know, from an accounting perspective, understanding what are the gap rules that we need to be following and, giving getting insight from that. So, really, the use cases are honestly endless in this way that you can build a Copilot for specific functions across every single role in your organization. Definitely. There are tons of ways that you can train, the the interface, and that's all really used, or or done through providing a different context. So adding in different datasets from different environments. Like, if you wanted to have a sales agent Copilot, for example, built through Copilot Studio, you could, perform, or provide all of your CRM data into the tool, and then it will have the context to understand exactly where you're at with your opportunities, your leads, at what point a certain lead is in a marketing campaign. It'll give you all of that insight. It's really just all dependent on what data you provide to it and how you train, the the decision making for the chatbot. Yeah. I'd say, one of the best ways to do something like this is actually ask Copilot itself, to say, you know, how can I improve, you know, our our attendance, or how can I decrease the amount of tickets that we have within our customer support portal? It'll give you some sort of insights like that. And you can even ask how to work with, you know, how to add Copilot to decrease those or to create more attendance. So using it actually as a resource, for questions and getting general answers just like you would with Google, but just with additional context. So one of the best use cases that I see for Copilot in the future is being able to take any role within an organization and see where we can parse out some of the automated, tasks or the the tasks that should be automated and then building a Copilot specific for that role.

My name is Zach Karahalas and I'm the Director of Business Development here at Volt Technologies. Today I'll be walking you through a demonstration of Dynamics three sixty five Business Central. Specifically, for this session, we'll be looking at the Power BI integration and all of the new Power BI reports that have been added into the out of the box capabilities of d three sixty five b c. Alright. So today, as I mentioned, I'm excited to run through a demonstration of Power BI reporting capabilities embedded directly into Business Central. So to start here, the one thing I always like to call out is obviously Power BI as a Microsoft product and Dynamics three sixty five Business Central as a Microsoft product. What this means is that these two tools, these two systems have that ability to integrate natively and pass data back and forth. So you actually have the ability to create Power BI reports utilizing data from Business Central, from SQL databases, from Excel spreadsheets, and then embed those reports directly into Dynamics three sixty five Business Central. So here, we'll see that I've actually embedded three different reports. I have the ability to also see an out of the box Business Central report here, but these are custom reports that I have built utilizing data from Business Central and utilizing data from Excel spreadsheets and embedded directly in BC. I understand these can be small, but I think one thing that's great about this feature is the ability just to expand out those reports. From here, you actually have all the capabilities or the majority of the capabilities that you would have within Dynamics or within Power BI Desktop. So from here, I can see these reports. This is gonna be a report where we're looking at our historical utilization. I can actually filter, cut, slice that data any way I'd like directly with MVC. As this data changes from Excel spreadsheets or directly in Business Central. So this is a feature that has long been in Dynamics three sixty five Business Central, the ability to embed these reports directly into the system. But something that Microsoft has recently rolled out is actually out of the box Power BI reports. So they have actually gone in and added Power BI reports that are focused around purchasing sales, inventory, inventory evaluation, manufacturing, sustainability, finance, as well as manufacturing. So today, I'll be running you through some of those out of the box reports. You do have to have a Power BI report to actually access these, but let's go ahead and take a look. You can get to these reports several different ways from here. I'm just gonna go into my explore more roles. And for some of these specific modules, you're gonna see this Power BI reports. So these are those out of the box reports. We'll see some under finance, some under purchasing, sales and marketing. We also have some here under our manufacturing as well. So let's start by taking a look at some of our financials. I won't run through every report today, but I think it's just important to understand that these reports are actually directly tied to data within Business Central. So this is gonna be my financial dashboard or my financial overview Power BI report. From here, it's giving me some nice visuals on data that I'd like to see my top five customers buy a balance, my top five vendors buy a balance, my return on assets by month, net profit, asset turnover. And then on the top, I can just see some great data like my revenue, net profit, net profit margin, assets. I can even take a look at financial reports, things like my income statement or my balance sheet. I also have the ability to look at profitability. So I can get in, look at my profitability or my gross profit, net profit by month, my net margin, all of that fun stuff. We also have the ability to take a look at reports that are related directly to sales. So maybe we wanna go and take a look at my sales report. This is gonna be my sales dashboard. Same gist of the financials. It's gonna let me take a look at data, like my total sales amount, sales amount by salesperson, gross profit by items, so what are my most profitable items, my top five customers, my sales amount, count of documents. I can even drill in and look at daily sales, my moving average, moving annual total, period overgrowth, period growth. So these are just scratching the surface. Right? There are several of these reports. They're all embedded directly into Dynamics three six five Business Central. You get them with the purchase of a Business Central and a Power BI license. With Dynamics three sixty five Business Central, approvals route in Outlook and Teams, bank feeds reconcile without exports, and you see cash, margin, and inventory live. The tidal wave that we saw with SMB ERP demand is only just a ripple in comparison with what is coming with AI and the infusion of AI into business applications. You have all these AI models right now through Claude, through OpenAI, that those are the airplanes, right? But Microsoft is saying, hey, we're not gonna compete from an airline perspective. Microsoft wants to be the airport. They want to be the director of this whole era of AI. They're taking this different approach, which is the approach in our opinion that's gonna win out. Agents are now able to perform the same task that humans would. But in order to do it effectively, you have to have clean and accurate data for agents to rely on. And that's where Business Central comes in. You have clean, well defined processes, clean data that agents able to reason over and gather judgment on to then go back into the system and perform actions. Getting comfortable in Dynamics three sixty five Business Central is the key to unlocking its potential. Today, I'm gonna show you how to walk through the general navigation in the system so you can move around like a pro. Here, we're on Dynamics three sixty five Business Central's homepage, or as Microsoft likes to call it, the role center. In the top left, you're gonna see your company logo that's set up on your Microsoft tenant. You're gonna see our logo here for Volt Technologies, but it's gonna be whichever tenant you're currently logged into. And then you have your Microsoft action bar up here along the top, very similar with other Dynamics three sixty five products or other Microsoft three sixty five products. And on the very far left menu, you have the waffle icon as we like to call it. Clicking on this menu is gonna pop open all of the other menu items within your Microsoft three sixty five ecosystem. So just like any other Microsoft app, you can jump between Business Central and other apps that you have access to. Here on the right side, you'll see that we have the, environments and the companies that are set up for Dynamics three sixty five Business Central. You can click on them to quickly navigate across to other companies. You'll see that we have two environments here set up, Sandbox and Production, and an assortment of companies in between them. If I wanted to jump to another company or environment, I could just click on this and it will navigate over there with just ease. And then on the right, have your Copilot icon. This will allow you to talk with Microsoft's AI Copilot platform, asking questions, explaining things within the system, something we're gonna dive into in a later video. And then the most useful feature of the action bar is gonna be your search icon. So you can click on this, this is gonna allow you to open up and search for anything inside of the system. So this gives you a lot of quick access to things in the system, like if I wanted to go to customers, I can quickly navigate to customers whether that's searching on the current page or all pages and tasks in the system or all reports in the system. If I want to expand and see every single page in the system, I can just hit show all and it's gonna show me all of the lists that have a customer on them. So if I navigate there, you can see I can just click here on customers. It's gonna drill through to that page for me and then show if there's any customers in here. As this is a demo environment, there is no customer setup at the moment. We're gonna show you how to create one in a later video. And if I wanna just navigate back, I can either click on this back icon here or an easy way to do it is hit the escape button. That's gonna bring you right back to the page that you were at right before this. You also have, within the search icon, the ability to set favorites. So if I want to set a new favorite for me, I can type in a page in the system and let's go to warehouse entries here. And then I have on the right side this little bookmark icon. I can select bookmark and then that's gonna now show up within my bookmark on the role center. So you can see that here on the far right side. So I have all my favorites here for quick and easy access. If I wanna get back to this search icon, I can come up here and click on the top right or my favorite shortcut of all of them is alt q. That's gonna pop up that search icon again for you so then you can start typing in that page. And I'm gonna show you how to remove that warehouse entries from your favorites. You can see this bookmarked icon. When I click this, it's now gonna tell me that that bookmark was removed from my role center. If I close this out, you'll see I now no longer have those warehouse entries here. So just showing you some quick and easy movements around the system, setting favorites. That way you can operate like a pro in the system. And then up here on the top, have what's called your role center menu items. So I'm currently in the business manager role within the system. This is gonna show you all different types of things that you need to run your business, whether financials, cash, sales, or purchasing. And if you wanna explore other menu items that are associated with those modules, you can just click on the dropdown and then it's gonna show you the other menu items that are associated with that given module that you've selected. So underneath finance, can see things like general journals, chart of accounts, or I can click on cash management and see things like payment journals and bank accounts. And if I wanna change the modules here and make them specific for my role, can go up to the cog icon on the top right, go to my settings, select the three dots next to the role, then now this is gonna expand all of the roles that are available by default in the system. These are configurable based on the specific role that you're looking for, but let's just pop open the Sales and Relationship Manager to show how that changes from the Business Manager role in the system. When I hit Okay here, it's going to refresh my page and now show me all of the things that are pertinent to a sales and relationship manager like my sales quotes, my sales pipeline, my opportunities. So you can see now under the sales on the top left I have contacts, opportunities, quotes and other documents like my posted sales orders and archived sales orders. So if I go back over here, go to my favorite role again, I'm going go back to my business manager, it's going to refresh the page and then show me all of the things that are pertinent for the business manager role. The best way to explore all menu items in the system is gonna be to come up here to the top right and select the hamburger icon to then expand all of the menu items that are available within this given role. So you can see here I have the business manager role. Oops, accidentally clicked over there. I have the business manager role that shows all all the menu items across finance, purchasing, cash, and sales. But if I wanna see all of the different menu items that are available to me, I can select Explore More Roles and then now it's gonna show me every single menu item in the system that is available for me dependent on my permissions that I have. So if I wanna see everything inside of finance, I can hit explore and it's gonna show me all the menu items here that associate with finance. This is the best way to learn the system is to start exploring all the menu items that are available out there that you have access to. Now I'm just gonna go back home. Perfect. And then here on the top right, you also have the help icon. So this is an easy way for you to search for things that are within Microsoft Learn or to get related resources for the current page that you're looking at. There's also a list for all the keyboard shortcuts on here. So if you enjoyed that alt q to get to the search icon, there are tons of keyboard shortcuts that are available out there for you.
