What challenge did Kirsch International face before Business Central?

Kirsch ran its global sourcing operation on shared Excel files that had grown too large and too busy to work in a shared environment. With no single source of truth, getting to the right answer took time, factory packing lists had to be audited by hand, and there was no system for processing vendor invoices, tracking item to order to receipt to invoice, or calculating accurate landed costs as tariffs shifted.

Why did Kirsch International choose Volt Technologies?

After more than two months interviewing apparel-focused Business Central partners in the United States, Europe, and India, Kirsch chose Volt because the team felt Volt would do a better job with the implementation. Volt was candid about fit from the first conversations and acted as an apparel systems advisor, not just an implementation partner.

What did Volt Technologies implement for Kirsch International?

Volt implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with Volt 365® Apparel. The build extended landed cost to capture multiple tariff and duty rates per item by country and date with automatic accruals, added those accruals to the cash flow module, and delivered the apparel color and size matrix, bulk variant codes, apparel attributes, item references, and role-tailored profiles.

How long did the Kirsch International implementation take?

Kirsch went live on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Volt 365® Apparel roughly four and a half months after choosing Volt Technologies. With no previous ERP to migrate from, every master record was built from spreadsheets and email and validated across two conference room pilots and two cutovers.

What results has Kirsch International achieved with Business Central?

One month after go-live, order entry on sales and purchase orders is 5 to 10 times faster, a pro forma run that took several hours now takes 30 to 40 minutes, and only one field in the entire system has to be entered twice, replacing roughly 20+ versions of overlapping spreadsheets.

How does Business Central help Kirsch International manage tariffs?

Landed cost and tariff exposure are configurable by item, country, and date, and Business Central accrues duty automatically as goods move. When a tariff changes, Kirsch can report exactly which products sit at which rate and reprice the affected programs quickly.
