If you enjoy pivot tables in Excel, then you're gonna love analysis views in Business Central. This is an easy way for you to take any data that's within a list view in the system and pivot it to get to the exact information that you're looking for. So let's take a look. I'm here within the role center page in Business Central, and I'm going to navigate just to a list page here. Let's take my favorite, which is items. And then if I want to be able to look at an analysis view of this page, I'll go up to the top left and I'll navigate to the Analysis Mode icon here. When I select this, it's going to automatically enter my screen into this Analysis View. You can see that it's already named this Analysis View Analysis one. If I'd like to change this name, I can just select the dropdown and hit rename. Let's say new analysis. Let's do new test analysis. I'm going to rename that. And then over here on the right side is really where all the main controls come into play. So I can easily take things that are here and move them around where I can see different views of the columns that I have, or I can select the check mark and that's going to remove these specific fields from my view. So for now, I'm going to keep quantity on hand and my number, and I'm just going to take away all the remainder of these. So now I can see my items and their quantity on hand. One of the best values of the analysis view is to turn this into a pivot mode. So now I can select pivot mode and then look at specific things like the quantity on hand and the item number. So now this is only going to show me all of my individual items and their quantities. But if I want to look at the amount that is in, let's say, a base unit of measure, so a specific unit of measure, I could then filter only on my quantity on hand and my base unit measure. It's going to show me how many items in total are given or the summed up quantity on hand. And then if I'd like to as well, I can look at how much quantity is by vendor. So if I remove my base unit measure here, now it's going to show me my specific vendor numbers and then their quantities. So the vendor number that's associated with the item, I can see my exact quantities that I have by those vendors. Or if I want to split it out by number as well, you can see a different view on here, looking at your vendor and your item numbers. Of course, if I want to take another analysis tab, I can just click here. It's going to create a new one for me so you could easily flip back and forth between the different analysis views that you've created. Creating analysis views in the system is one of the most powerful ways to get access to the information that you need. So I definitely encourage you to take advantage of it and test out all the new capabilities that have been released here. So that's it for analysis views within the system.
